Privacy Preserving Techniques and Statistical Disclosure Control
Protection of the privacy of respondents is vital for statistical institutes. This paper puts two privacy concerning fields into perspective: privacy preserving techniques and statistical disclosure control.
Disclosure control and privacy preservation are key aspects in producing statistics. In this paper we discuss some characteristics of the relationship between Privacy Preserving Techniques (input privacy) and Statistical Disclosure Control (output privacy). Moreover, for each of these two fields of research, we briefly introduce a recent project: “SDC when publishing on thematic maps” and “Privacy‐Preserving Infrastructure for analyzing personal health data in a vertically partitioned scenario”.
