New unemployment benefit claimants in 2007 and their labour market history (Dutch only)
At the request of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, Statistics Netherlands’ Centre for Policy Related Statistics has calculated figures on the labour market history of people applying for unemployment benefit in 2007. The labour market position of these people is established for the moment they apply for the benefit. In addition, their history on the labour market is traced back to 2001. The results are part of a study on labour market dynamics which examines the flow into and out of unemployment benefit by background characteristics of claimants of unemployment benefit and by the type of jobs that precede and follow a period of unemployment benefit.A number of extra custom-made breakdowns have been supplied as a supplement to this report. These are available on request.
